'Religious' Alternatives to Religion - Buddhism and the Church of England
Buddhism and The Church of England
If you feel that you really ought to cover your bases and believe in something (a la Pascal) but don’t find any major religion particularly convincing, try Buddhism – you don’t have to bother with a God – how cool is that? Except you aren’t allowed to kill any flies, please bear that in mind.
Alternatively, if you have been brought up as a Christian, but have trouble believing the resurrection or the Immaculate Conception, try joining the Church of England – they do very good jumble sales too. It is a very polite way, according to Somerset Maugham, of saying you don’t really believe in very much at all.
